- Summary
- Half and quarter-length studio portraits and group portraits of lawyer and Atlanta, Georgia, mayor Maynard Jackson, from 1968 to 1979. Studio portraits of Jackson as a young attorney and as mayor are undated. Group portraits consist of Jackson, with his wife Valarie, after being defeated in the 1968 Georgia Democratic primary for the United States Senate; with Coretta Scott King and bodybuilder Jim Morris (n.d.); making a presentation to the musical group The Jacksons (n.d.); meeting with President Jimmy Carter at the White House (1979); and making a presentation to singer/songwirter Bobby Womack, with Jackie Dean of United Artists Records (n.d.).
