Summary
  1. Views of opera singer Leontyne Price date approximately between the 1950s and 1982. The collection consists of a number of studio portraits of Price, many of which were used for publicity purposes; and in publicity photographs for stage productions, including her performance as Lenora in "Il Trovotore," in the title role of "Aida," in "Tosca," in "La Forza de Destina" and in "La Scala." Price is also depicted arriving by plane; singing for the United Nations General Assembly and the Herald Tribune Forum; during recording sessions; with Jimmy Carter at the White House; with cast members of "Porgy and Bess"; and receiving the Spingarn Award. Half, three-quarter and full-length views are included.
