- Donald Beaty Bloch was employed by the Fish and Wildlife Service, United States Department of the Interior. He participated in the founding of the Fortean Society (dedicated to continuing the work of Charles Fort (1874-1932)) and corresponded during the 1940s and 1950s with its secretary, Tiffany Thayer.
