- Biography
- James A. MacColl, an actor and writer, was born in 1912 in New York City. He made his professional debut in "Encore" in the 1930s. During World War II, he wrote dialogue and sketch material for "This Is the Army" and was in both the stage and film versions. Mr. MacColl wrote many specialty numbers, including lyrics and music, both for himself and for others. He worked in night clubs in America and abroad.
