- Summary
- A look at blacks in today's armed services. In the first half of the program, Gus Heningburg interviews Vietnam veteran Larry Mitchel who describes the dehumanizing experience he had as a soldier in Vietnam and as a veteran. Mitchel currently is a social worker helping other Vietnam vets. In the second half, Heningburg interviews three new army recuits who explain why they enlisted; he also speaks with Lt. Col. Gorham Black III about why more blacks have enlisted in the armed services.
