- Summary
- Six, one-minute vignettes produced to promote jazz in Detroit before the opening of the Montreux Jazz festival there in 1980. Traces Detroit's jazz history with stories on Hitsville USA (the original home of Motown), the Jazz Center, the Paradise Theatre and the Greystone - all jazz institutions in Detroit; and two on the upcoming Montreux Jazz Festival. All are narrated by Scat Man Crothers.
