  3. In left margin is holograph catalog number "N.1," crossed through.
  4. The dedication is partly torn.
  5. First published: Wien, Artaria, 1781, as his op. 2, no. 2, and dedicated to Mlle. Josephe D'Aurnhzmer.
  6. Cut, tipped, and bound in green leather by Francis Bedford with title stamped in gold. The bookplates of Herter, Locker, and NYPL appear on marbled endpapers.
  7. Letter ([4] p.) from Richard Aldrich to C. Herter appraising this and another Mozart ms., laid in.
  8. Acquired from the families of Lizzie Bliss and Christian A. Herter, in their memories, 1932..
