HMC has created and maintains: The National Register of Archives (NRA) - a resource for those seeking information on the nature and location of records relating to British history. The NRA holds over 43,000 unpublished catalogues and listed manuscript collections and has been indexed. The indexes contain 150,000 references, with a further 300,000 connected records and these are available on the HMC website. ARCHON - an up to date electronic directory of repositories in the UK and abroad and a portal to archival resources. ARCHON provides the framework for a virtual UK archival network. The Manorial Documents Register (MDR) - administered by HMC on behalf of the Master of the Rolls. The MDR is an index to surviving manorial records in England and Wales. Some sections of the MDR have been automated and are available on the HMC website. Archives in Focus - an introduction to archives. It includes information on online archival resources designed for teachers, practical advice on what can be expected and what you may find when you visit a UK record office and guidance on how archives can be used for family, local and house history.

The National Map is a collaborative effort among the USGS and other Federal, State, and local partners to improve and deliver topographic information. It has many uses ranging from recreation to scientific analysis to emergency response. The geographic information available from The National Map includes orthoimagery (aerial photographs), elevation, geographic names, hydrography, boundaries, transportation, structures, and land cover.
