Nineteenth Century Masterfile includes the enhanced Web version of Poole's Index to Periodical Literature. This version enlarges the scope of the original Poole's, adding dozens of indices to periodicals, books, newspapers, and government documents. The result is a vast, integrated reference resource for scholars and researchers in all disciplines. Researchers in this area are also advised to consult American Periodical Series Online. This resource also includes the New York Times Index (1863-1905), the New York Daily Tribune Index (1875-1906), and links to pre-1923 articles in JSTOR's journals.
