The ABC of It: Why Children's Books Matter

Now–Sunday, March 23, 2014

Stephen A. Schwarzman Building

NYPL's incredible new exhibition on the history of children's literature—The ABC of It: Why Children's Books Matter—opened at our landmark Library at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street a few days ago! Come by today, this weekend, or sometime soon to see amazing items and explore why children's books matter, what and how they teach children, and what they reveal about the societies that produced them. The ABC of It invites you to take a fresh look at books you thought you knew, and reveals that the stories we tell our children tell a story about ourselves.
