Staten Island Collection
The Staten Island Collection boasts holdings including over 400 books and periodicals, as well as maps, atlases, and other materials.  The Collection contains the Staten Island Advance on microfilm dating back from 1921 to the present.  Quench your thirst for knowledge about your personal or family history, your school assignment, or any aspect of Staten Island’s past!

Small Business
If you are interested in starting your own business, we have some very useful books, magazines and databases.  The Small Business Collection carries many titles that will help you get started with the business of your choice.  This Collection also holds several useful directories and encyclopedias.   Counselors from SCORE come to St. George Library Center to answer your small business start-up questions (registration required).

Jobs and Careers
Find the resources you need for your job search here.  Read the Chief, the Federal Jobs Digest, peruse our New York State civil service jobs file.  Or, look at our various books on careers, resume writing or interviewing skills.  Then, fill out applications online or fine tune your resume using our laptops.

Periodicals
Do you miss perusing your favorite magazine?  Stop into the reference room, where we have over 150 subscriptions to your favorite magazines and newspapers.  The Library also gives you access to articles online via its many databases.

Government Documents
Read about current projects such as the St. George Supreme Courthouse Project, Fresh Kills Park and others.  Also, study some past issues, like the old Staten Island secession documents.
