STEAM Discovery Kits
Build, code, and investigate with NYPL’s amazing STEAM Discovery Kits! Available to borrow from Soundview Library and select other branches across the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island, these kits enable kids and tweens to explore robotics, circuitry, microbiology, engineering, coding, and more using exciting tools, toys, and books at home.
NYPL After School
Join us for NYPL After School, our free drop-in program for kids ages 6–12 that takes place after regular school hours, Monday to Thursday, when school is in session. Get homework help from one of our tutors or Teen Reading Ambassadors, plus reading recommendations, fun activities, and even snacks!

About the Library
The Soundview Branch of The New York Public Library is a bright, airy, one-story, marble building located on Soundview Avenue near Seward Avenue. The branch houses adult, young adult, and children's books, a small Spanish-language collection, and a non-print collection of videos, CDs, CD-ROMs, language tapes, and books on tape available for borrowing. A meeting room is available for community group use.
