About the Division

The DeWitt Wallace Periodical Room (Room 108) services current loose periodicals, current issues of 200 popular periodicals, and 22 domestic and foreign newspapers. The remaining thousands of bound print periodicals are requested through the Rose Main Reading Room (Room 315) on the third floor. The Periodicals Room is Wi-Fi enabled.

Visiting the Collection

Can researchers walk in to access the collection?
Patrons are welcome to walk in without an appointment to use the DeWitt Wallace Periodical Room for quiet study, and to access the Library’s loose periodicals and newspapers.

Are research appointments required to access the collection onsite?
General collections are available to view without an appointment.

Are virtual consultations available and are they required before making an onsite research appointment?
Virtual consultations are available for researchers who wish to discuss their research plans. Please book a virtual consultation with one of our librarians. You do not have to have a virtual consultation prior to your visit to the General Research Division.
