About the Library

Charleston Library opened in March 2022 to serve the south shore neighborhood of Staten Island. This 10,000-square-foot sustainable building is the first net-zero energy library in New York City, and offers two state-of-the-art community spaces and designated learning commons for children, young adults, and adults. Charleston is designed to offer an array of programming, classes, and workshops for all.
