NYPL After School
NYPL After School is a free program for children ages 6-12 to get homework help from one of our tutors or Teen Reading Ambassadors, reading recommendations, fun writing, enrichment activities—and even snacks! For children ages 6-12, Monday through Thursday 3-6PM, following the DOE calendar. No need to register, just show up!

About the Library
Charleston Library opened in March 2022 to serve the south shore neighborhood of Staten Island. This 10,000-square-foot sustainable building is the first net-zero energy library in New York City, and offers two state-of-the-art community spaces and designated learning commons for children, young adults, and adults. Charleston is designed to offer an array of programming, classes, and workshops for all.
