The Business Outreach Center (BOC) Network is a micro-enterprise/small business development organization with over a decade-long record of delivering customized business services to under-served entrepreneurs in New York City and, more recently, in Newark,NJ as well as capacity-building services to organizations establishing and operating community and micro-enterprise development programs.

 BOC business counselors provide one-on-one needs assessment, business planning, marketing and management guidance, as well as access to resources through the BOC Network’s extensive linkages with the full spectrum of public and private business assistance sources.

The Business Outreach Center Network  has four business centers focused on serving entrepreneurs in the greater New York area. 

BOC Network programs and services are designed to help you and your business succeed. Our services include Business Outreach Centers, Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers, BOC Capital Corp, BXL Bronx Incubator, Industrial Business Services Project, BOC Women's Business Centers, Childcare Business Development Project, Ascend NYC, and Manhattan MBDA Business Center.

 

Staten Island Business Outreach is a member of the Business Outreach Center network, with offices throughout the City, offers free counseling and referrals. After an initial intake and analysis of an ongoing or prospective business, counselors develop a needs assessment and work with clients to identify and take full advantage of appropriate specialized services, programs and financing sources. BOC counselors also provide essential follow-up and look for early warnings of problems, particularly in utilizing loans. Note: Other BOCs are located in Brooklyn, Chinatown, Upper Manhattan, and Corona Queens. Check listings in other boroughs or call the main office at 718-624-9115. Also offer free small business workshops and technology works for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

The new BXL Business Incubator (BXL) is the first state-of-the-art incubator and co-working space in the Hunts Point neighborhood of the South Bronx. From developing a business plan and building a strong online presence, to structuring a business, BXL’s in-house counselors and resources are here to help.

Members of BXL have access to a wide range of business services, tailored to the needs of busy entrepreneurs.

BXL members have access to 24/7 work space, digital connectivity, office technology, conference roomsin-house business, legal and tech support – and a diverse community of entrepreneurs – all on a flexible, month-to-month basis.

Operated by BOC Development Inc., in partnership with NYCEDC, BXL provides modern shared office facilities and end-to-end support,  to help launch and grow successful new businesses.

 

Under the Business Outreach Center Network (BOC), the Women’s Business Center is a collection of resources with a focus on women, aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners in the greater New York City area.

With locations in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, the Women’s Business Center strives to provide accessible and equitable opportunities to individuals in New York looking to carve out their own industry spaces. At each resource center, our trained business and professional development counselors offer guidance on a variety of topics from finance and lending to legal advice.

Under the Business Outreach Center Network (BOC), the Women’s Business Center is a collection of resources with a focus on women, aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners in the greater New York City area.

With locations in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, the Women’s Business Center strives to provide accessible and equitable opportunities to individuals in New York looking to carve out their own industry spaces. At each resource center,  trained business and professional development counselors offer guidance on a variety of topics from finance and lending to legal advice.

CMP equips immigrants with the skills and network they need to be economically self-sufficient and contributing members of the greater New York City community.

One of the services CMP offers is the Entrepreneur Assistance Program (EAP).  It combines individual technical assistance with classroom training to offer a 10-week, 60-hour intensive training to aspiring entrepreneurs.  Participants finish the program with a business plan, complete with follow up support from program staff.  Individual Counseling is provided to clients in assisting them to actually go through the process of business incorporation, identifying and assisting in application of low interest loans, obtaining WMBE status, and referring them to professional resources such as legal, accounting, and taxation services.

CMP Financial Literacy Workshops and Topical Workshops such as social media marketing, MWBE certification, and government resources, etc. were offered throughout the year to support startup and business expansion.

Over the past 10 years, CMP Business Outreach Center (BOC) assisted over 930 entrepreneurs and small business owners through one-on-one counseling and coaching services. In addition, we hosted 712 workshops and seminars, helped 122 businesses increase sales by $4.2 million, created 137 jobs, and assisted businesses to secure $4.5 million loans and grants.

Minority-owned firms seeking to penetrate new markets — domestic & global — and growing in size and scale, can access business experts at a MBDA Business Center. 

Our Manhattan MBDA Center supports the expansion of equitable business opportunities. Our outreach,advocacy and technical assistance services help minority-owned firms. We provide supportive services to assist MBE’s gain access to contracts, and capital - supporting the growth of small businesses allowing them to create and retain jobs. Operated by the Business Outreach Center Network Inc., BOCNET’s mission is to improve the economic prospects of traditionally underserved groups, with a focus on low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs and their communities, and thereby create genuinely brighter futures. At the heart of our mission is the belief that whatever their differences, people and communities share a common goal: to achieve economic stability and growth.

 

The Manhattan MBDA Center supports the expansion of equitable business opportunities. Our outreach,advocacy and technical assistance services help minority-owned firms. We provide supportive services to assist MBE’s gain access to contracts, and capital. Operated by the Business Outreach Center Network Inc., BOCNET’s mission is to improve the economic prospects of traditionally underserved groups, with a focus on low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs and their communities. 

 Although the Center is physically located on Wall Street in Manhattan, we can assist clients anywhere in the United States.
