The Chamber Coalition - formerly the New American Chamber of Commerce [NACC] is a not-for-profit partnership whose purpose is to advance, promote and facilitate the success of Coalition Businesses. The African American International Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic American International Chamber of Commerce are the other Coalition partners. The Coalition assists its members by: implementing and strengthening local and national programs that assist the economic development of its members; by increasing business relationships and patnerships between the corporate sector and Coalition members; by promoting international trade; by monitoring legislation, policies and programs that affect the smalll business community; and by providing technical, networking and other assistance to Coalition entrepreneurs, small business ownersm business associations and professionals. 

Formerly known as EWVIDCO, Evergreen manages the Greenpoint/Williamsburg and North Brooklyn Industrial Business Zones and the North Brooklyn Empire Zone. Through the NYC Industrial Business Zone (IBZ) program, Evergreen is responsible for meeting the business service needs of more than 10,000 industrial businesses in the Greenpoint/Williamsburg and North Brooklyn Industrial Business Zones and Ombudsman Zones. These businesses depend on Evergreen for free, quick and reliable assistance with tax credits, incentives, financing, real estate and relocation assistance, energy and green issues, workforce needs, and advocacy. Evergreen provides these services in concert with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community organizations.

The Foundry is Fordham University’s Hub for Innovation + Entrepreneurship, where students, alumni, faculty, and community members learn to use creative problem-solving techniques, critical thinking and analytical skills to solve business and social issues of the 21st Century. The Foundry helps its constituents to Learn, Connect, Launch and Grow their business ventures in a collaborative working environment providing: curricular and co-curricular offerings; access to an inter-connected network of alumni and faculty; and connectivity with the New York City start-up ecosystem. Throughout the year, the Foundry hosts workshops and three signature business plan competitions: Ram's Den, Pitch Challenge, and Battle of the Bronx.

General Assembly is a leading source for students, entrepreneurs, and corporations interested in technology training, staffing, and career development and transitions. What began as a co-working space in 2011 has since grown into a global learning experience with campuses in 20 cities on four continents and ove 35,00 graduates worldwide. General Assembly hosts a range of free and fee-based workshops and seminars. Their technology courses are available in a variety of formats to fit your schedule: full-time immersive, flex immersive, part-time, or on-demand.

Black Women Impact Grants is a $10 million grant program with an open call application process for Black women-led charitable nonprofits. 50 organizations. Seven impact areas. One ambitious goal. 

Funded by the Goldman Sachs Foundation, Black Women Impact (BWI) Grants will support community-driven charitable nonprofit organizations created by and for Black women and girls. As part of the One Million Black Women initiative, our goal is to positively impact the lives of at least one million Black women by 2030.

The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce seeks to empower small business owners and local residents to identify resources, advocate for policy reforms and to create economic opportunity. It leverages the community’s rich heritage to develop innovative strategies for economic revitalization and cross-cultural collaboration.  We provide technical assistance, assists entrepreneurs in acquiring low-interest loans and in accessing government resources and offers training to assist business owners in meeting their goals.We are dedicated to creating mutual support networks for those seeking jobs and business assistance.  We advocate for city services and resources to address the challenges small businesses face. Services are available in English, Chinese and Korean.

The Harlem Business Alliance (HBA), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit established in 1980, creates environments and opportunities that produce successful entrepreneurs and creates jobs for local residents. HBA is dedicated to enriching the local business community, with an emphasis on Black owned businesses through education, support and advocacy. We believe local businesses create better communities and we inspire Black entrepreneurs to grow their roots not just locally but globally.

Services include: microloans between $5K and $65K  to qualified Harlem entrepreneurs, workshops and infortmation services, one-on-one technical assistance, power networking events, and more. 

Hot Bread Kitchen’s mission is to create economic opportunity for women and gender-expansive people, immigrants, and people of color through job skills training, food entrepreneurship programs, and an ecosystem of support in New York City.

Programs include: 

  • Food Career Programs, which  provide the technical and professional skills needed for employment in this vibrant sector.
  • Culinary training programs include training for the NYC Food Protection Exam, which earns the Food Protection Certification, a valuable, lifelong credential and significant advantage in the food industry job market.
  • HBK INCUBATES: SEED,  a self-paced, five-part modular program for aspiring food entrepreneurs who want to lay a strong foundation for their business idea.
