The AALDC is a not-for-profit organization committed to the economic development, cultural enrichment and historical preservation of the Atlantic Avenue area from Fourth Avenue to the waterfront in Brooklyn, New York. 

The Market provides off-street business locations at affordable rates to former street vendors and micro-entrepreneurs with a strong social, cultural, and economic interest in the local community, who are developing and growing their businesses. The Market also offers a variety of business development services, including basic business classes and ongoing training in merchandising, finance, and technology. Today the Market houses 47 merchants and a seasonal farmers market.

The Minority and Women Revolving Loan Program is a program designed to financially assist small business owners who operate or own businesses in Crown Heights, or Central Brooklyn. Funded by the New York Empire State Development Corporation, services are available to minority and women business owners who have existing businesses or are starting new businesses. Loans are available from $2,000 up to $50,000 at an affordable interest rate with reasonable terms.
