Privacy FAQ: Public Programs
The Library values your privacy, and wants you to understand how your data is used and shared. In the spirit of transparency, there are a few things we want you to know. Although the video and chat are on an NYPL.org page, they are hosted by YouTube (a subsidiary of Google). By participating you might give data about yourself that could include your name, username, email address, or password. The Library does not control that data. We suggest that you read Google’s Privacy Policy as well as the Library’s Privacy Policy, especially the section “Third-Party Library Services Providers.” If you are logged into gmail, or other Google products in your browser, you will automatically be logged in on the NYPL chat via YouTube.
