idNYC
IDNYC is a free municipal ID card for all New Yorkers that not only provides government photo identification, but can serve as a library card, get you free memberships to more than 30 cultural institutions, qualifies you for discounts at health and wellness centers, and a multitude of other benefits.
New Yorkers can sign up for an IDNYC card at several city locations, including The New York Public Library's Bronx Library Center and Cathedral Library (starting January 11, 2021). The cards will either be mailed to your residence or can be picked up from the sign-up location if the applicant does not have a home address. Please click this link to renew your IDNYC card.
The IDNYC enrollment offices at Bronx Library Center are by appointment. You can make an appointment at any enrollment center by calling 311 or visiting https://www1.nyc.gov/site/idnyc/card/make-an-appointment.page
