Library Lions 2016

Library Lions 2015 Atmosphere

Monday, November 7, 2016, 7-10 p.m.

Library Lions is The New York Public Library’s largest annual event and one of the most anticipated evenings on New York City’s cultural calendar. Our exceptional 2016 Library Lions include Harry Belafonte, Hilary Mantel, Javier Marías, Peggy Noonan, and Colm Tóibín. Excitingly, the event will return to the magnificent Rose Main Reading Room, which will be revealed post renovations at Library Lions. And in addition to recognizing these outstanding artists and wordsmiths, the event will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Truman Capote’s Black and White Ball. Special collection items representing Capote and this iconic 1966 event will be on display. For information about Library Lions 2016, please contact librarylions@nypl.org or 212.930.0019.
