Blind and low-vision people who use Windows have three screen readers to choose from. In a world where software changes frequently, it often benefits us to know more than one screen reader. We'll be using a free ebook, the Windows Screen Reader Primer, to learn to navigate Windows confidently with any screen reader. We'll cover getting around in Windows, managing files, writing documents, going online, and understanding the basics of navigation in Excel and Powerpoint. This workshop is for you if you can commit to attending most sessions, doing weekly reading and practicing your new skills. This workshop will take place online.
