This spring lets indulge in thematic and creative tactile art and design creation. The satisfaction
and joy one can feel while creating something with one’s hands is unparalleled.

In this six-part series we will creatively use different techniques, processes and materials to make expressive
artwork or graphics that engage the sense of touch and sight. We will use tactile materials such
as 3D tapes, stick on mirrors, needles and yarns as well as miscellaneous collage materials to
produce our graphics or art works.

Each week we will explore a new theme as a prompt for
creative exploration. We will also try and emphasize specific haptic sensations such as different
temperatures, pressure and texture using varied materials. All classes will welcome participants
of all or any skill level from beginner to advanced. We will make from our point of view and
knowledge base while gaining some new skills or ideas. Techniques such as twisting or cording,
collaging, basic hand embroidery will be used.
