The Library holds a vast collection of New York City newspapers. However, locating specific issues can be challenging due to frequent title changes and the availability of multiple formats. This class will focus on navigating these complexities, teaching you how to efficiently locate and access the newspapers in our collection. By the end of this class, you will be able to:

  • Find New York City newspapers in the Research Catalog.
  • Identify the various newspaper formats and how to access them.
  • Discover how to obtain microfilm copies of newspapers.
  • Use digitized newspapers to search by keyword, author, and other citation information.
  • Apply practical tips for efficient newspaper research.
