Event Details

Join Harry Belafonte Library-115th Street Library and Guggenheim museum educators to create family portraits with inspiration from the exhibition "Only the Young: Experimental Art in Korea, 1960s–1970s." The exhibit "examines the groundbreaking and genre-defying body of artistic production from an era of remarkable transformation in South Korea. Created by young artists who came of age in the decades immediately following the Korean War, the artworks reflect and respond to the changing socioeconomic and material conditions that were shaped by a tumultuous political landscape at home and a globalizing world beyond."

Las familias crearán retratos familiares únicos y especiales con dos educadores del Guggenheim.

This is a bilingual program in English and Spanish. Éste es un programa bilingüe en español e inglés.

This event will take place in person.

ABOUT CULTURE PASS

Culture Pass

Culture Pass is a program for cardholding patrons of New York City’s public libraries, Brooklyn Public Library, New York Public Library, and Queens Public Library. Culture Pass doesn't just give library patrons the chance to visit museums and theaters across the city—we also work with our partners to bring these amazing institutions into branches in all five boroughs.  Visit nypl.org/events/culture-pass for programs and learn about our city's cultural community.
