LIVE from NYPL's happy hours on the terrace at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL) take place on select Fridays. Drop in for drinks, mingling, crafts, and more.

In September, we are proud to partner with Subway Book Review and its creator, Uli Beutter Cohen—author of Between the Lines: Stories from the Underground—the remarkable result of nearly a decade of documenting, interviewing, and photographing some of the subway's most imaginative people: the readers of books!

Join us at any point between 5:30-7:30 PM.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Uli Beutter Cohen is a New York City–based documentarian, artist, and the creator of Subway Book Review. She explores belonging to a time and place through writing, film, and photography. Uli is a sought-after speaker and panelist. Her work has been featured in print, on TV, and online by The New York Times, Vogue, Esquire, Glamour, Essence, The BBC, The Guardian, and New York Magazine. Between the Lines: Stories from the Underground is her first book. Uli is the recipient of the 2021 New York Press Club Heart of New York award. She lives in Brooklyn.
