We're excited to host a special " I Love The 90s ” Edition of First Fridays, the Schomburg's popular monthly social gathering! Celebrating 90’s Music, seen by most as the golden age of Hip Hop and R&B, the 90s were the genre's most formative and expansive years. Join us as we honor the trailblazers who have paved the way for this global musical and creative revolution, led by African-Americans and that now moves the world.

Guests are invited to mix and mingle in the Langston Hughes Lobby and enjoy signature drinks while grooving to beats by DJ Suav. Our host for the evening will be Dhalimu from Dhali’s Closet. With our extended hours, guests are also invited to check out our 3 exhibitions Black PowerPower in Print, and Unshackled Ink

Food will be available for purchase from Harlem Karibe in the lower level in the American Negro Theater, so make sure to get a taste as you dance the night away on the Cosmogram.
