Lil' Studio

December 7, 2017

Program Locations:

For all ages

During Lil’ Studio participants hear a story written and/or illustrated by an author of Native American, Latino or African descent. The story and its illustrations are connected to art work found within The Studio Museum’s permanent collection. The book and art work are then explored through a process oriented art making experience. Participants are encouraged to explore themes presented in the literature and artwork further at home through a Take-Home project.

Little ones 2.5 to 4 years of age are invited to enjoy story time, art-making and other
activities that encourage creative exploration and bonding. Engaging in reading, singing,
movement and art-making, children are building Social/Emotional, Cognitive, Physical
and Language Development.
