The Schomburg Center and the Rebuild Foundation proudly present an exploration with Theaster Gates (Director of the Rebuild Foundation, as well as a sculpture, installation, performance and urban intervention artist), Nettrice Gaskins, PhD (Researcher, scholar, educator, artist) and Dr. Greg Carr (Associate Professor of Africana Studies and Chair of the Department of Afro-American Studies at Howard University),  on the past, present, and future of the black archive and his pioneering work with Rebuild. 

FIRST COME, FIRST SEATED
For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. All registered seats are released 15 to 30 minutes before start time, so we recommend that you arrive early.

Please note that holding seats in the Langston Hughes Auditorium is strictly prohibited and there is no food or drinks allowed anywhere in the Schomburg Center.
