Event Details

Julia Claiborne Johnson makes her fiction debut with her novel “Be Frank with Me.” Reclusive literary legend Mimi Banning has been holed up in her Bel Air mansion for years but after falling pretty to a financial scheme she is now flat broke. For the first time in decades, Mimi must write a new book and to ensure the timely delivery of her manuscript, her publisher sends an assistant to monitor her progress. “Be Frank with Me” is an unconventional story of an unusual mother and son and the intrepid young woman who finds herself pulled into their world. Join us for a discussion with Julia Claiborne Johnson and fellow Young Lion and author, Cristina Alger Wang.
