Event Details

Individual investors often fear looking at a company’s financial statements because on the surface, they may appear quite complicated and detailed.  Financial statements often tell a useful story about how profitable a business is (or isn’t), what sort of assets the business has, what sort of liabilities and debts that the business has, and what the trends in the business are.

Rick Konrad, CFA, CFP® explains how to make financial statements speak to you about a business, its profitability, and its quality.   Also learn how to find the most useful resources for finding this information.

Rick Konrad founded Value Architects Asset Management in 2002 and previously was the director of research for a Wall Street investment banking firm. Prior to this, he was a partner in two Canadian investment management firms as well as the manager of asset-liability management for a life insurance company. Rick graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Canada and his MS in Finance from Northeastern University. He received his CFA charter in 1988, his CFP® designation in 2004, and has completed the Harvard Business School Executive Program in Behavioral Investing. He has a long standing interest in education
