The overlooked Monte Blue, one of Warner Brothers’ big names of the 1920s, stars with Patsy Ruth Miller in this frothy confection directed by Ernst Lubitsch. After years in Germany Lubitsch had come to America in 1923 and established his “Lubitsch Touch” in Hollywood with films like this, The Marriage Circle (’24) and Lady Windermere’s Fan (’25).
