Event Details

In 2011, you discovered debut novelist Eleanor Henderson and her new book, “Ten Thousand Saints,” in a Young Lion Conservators Salon. Now, step out of the heat and into a private screening of the film based on the book, exclusively for Young Lions. In this coming-of-age tale set in 1987, Jude (Asa Butterfield) is sent to live with his estranged father in the East Village after tragedy strikes his Vermont home. The film follows Jude and his friends (Hailee Steinfeld, Emile Hirsch) and their equally messed-up parents (Ethan Hawke, Emily Mortimer), as they struggle to find themselves and come to terms with nature and nurture, brotherhood, and loss. Following the film, there will be a Q&A with writer Eleanor Henderson and directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini.
