Event Details

We are delighted to extend a special invitation to Tilden Conservators to explore the widely acclaimed exhibition, One-Way Ticket: Jacob Lawrence’s Migration Series and Other Visions of the Great Movement North, now on view at The Museum of Modern Art. Spanning the multi-decade journey of African Americans from the rural South to the urban North in the early 20th century, this exhibition highlights Lawrence’s 60-panel series of tempera paintings and features items from the Library's Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Khalil Gibran Muhammad, director of the Schomburg Center and a key organizer of the exhibition, will lead a private tour of this extraordinary show.
