From Thucydides to American Sniper, the literature of war reveals man at his most primal. Be it the monotony of daily soldier life, or the terrifying fog of battle, it is a genre that not only spans continents, but the history of literature. As we mark the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I, join us for an evening on the front lines with Lea Carpenter, Dexter Filkins, Sebastian Junger, and Phil Klay.
