Meet the stars of The MET Opera to discuss new production of Alexander Borodin’s Russian epic opera “Prince Igor” by the world-renowned director, Dmitri Tcherniakov. The opera returns to the MET for the first time in almost 100 years, with its famous Polovtsian Dances, exciting new set design, star bass-baritone Ildar Abdrazakov in the title role, and conductor Gianandrea  Noseda on the podium.  Join us to have an extraordinary opportunity to hear artists from this production discuss defining Russian epic and the challenges they experienced. After the presentation, there will be short Q&A session. 

Moderated by Simon Morrison (Princeton University).

This event is presented by Irina Volkovich, of Literary Theater Dialogue in conjunction with The Metropolitan Opera.
