December 13, 2013
Event Details

In his new book of essays, White Girls, New Yorker cultural critic Hilton Als says what few people want to admit: "The issue of racial loyalty is a tricky one, and largely specious if you knew the colored people we knew." Join us for this salon as poet and Yale professor Elixabeth Alexander speaks with Als about his deeply personal and theoretical look at race, gender, sexuality, and their knotted history.
