School Program: Youth Activism and the Civil Rights Movement (1963-1964)

Education at the Schomburg presents a dynamic program for students commemorating the 1963 Children’s March in Birmingham and powerful contributions of youth in the struggle. Join us for a screening of Mighty Times: The Children’s March (2005), a film by Hudson and Houston, and interactive activities.

This event is part of Mississippi Goddam: Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Landmark Events in the Civil Rights Movement, a special Schomburg programming series celebrating the 50th Anniversary of some of the most memorable landmark events of the Civil Rights Movement from 1963-1965.
