Creative Aging in New York State Libraries: Experiencing the Joy of Color

These Lifetime Arts programs are supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Westchester Library System, AARP Foundation, American Library Association, New York State Council on the Arts, and the Helen Andrus Benedict Foundation.

This series of Art Workshops is for Senior Citizens only.

Experiencing the Joy of Color is a series of Creative Aging Art Workshops in which Senior Citizen students will learn various painiting and collage techniques, celebrating color and letting students express their creativity.  the Workshops are taught by John Mendelsohn who is a professional artist with extensive teaching experience.  Although the 10 student roster has been filled, Seniors interested in attending may still sign the waiting list available at the Roosevelt Island Public Library.
