Art Beyond Sight Lecture - African Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Join Art Beyond Sight and Yaëlle Biro, Assistant Curator in the Department of the Arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, to learn about African Art. Her work has focused not only on documenting the history of African objects, their display and collection, but also on integrating the historical phenomenon that have informed our perceptions of African art since the beginning of the twentieth century and until today. During this interactive lecture, she will introduce a few African art objects.
