April 30, 2013

Program Locations:

Igniting Creativity and Storytelling with our Seniors.

Free Workshop for Adults 55+

Book Arts or Artist's Books are works of art that are realized in the form of a book.

They are a book or a book like object in which content is not limited to words alone. It can be expressed in every aspect of the of the book or object from the words and images to the structure and type and printing method.
Participants may adopt any and all forms of contemporary art (such as painting, photography, printmaking, etc), plus all forms of craft (such as textiles, fiberart, typography, etc.). They are a mixed media so the possibilities are endless.

“Creative Aging in Our Communities: The New York City Libraries Project, a program of Lifetime Arts Inc, is generously supported by the Fan Fox and Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, with additional support from the Laura Jane Musser Fund, and is administered in partnership with Brooklyn Public Library and New York Public Library.”
