Bricks 4 Kidz: A Science and Lego Program - Carousel Swing

Build a carousel swing ride and test out the theory that the forces of physics can be fun! This lesson explains the concepts of centripetal and centrifugal force, using examples of everyday things kids can understand. Students get to observe these forces in action as they turn on the motor and watch the carousel swing send the riders spinning away from the center! Vocabulary includes centripetal, centrifugal, inertia.
