My ancestor was a what?: Researching Huguenots and Walloons in Europe and America

This presentation will detail the story of the Huguenots and Walloons with an eye toward helping genealogists find and interpret information about their European and early American ancestors. Participants will learn about: 1) the experiences of their ancestors in both Europe and America; 2) understand the available documentary sources of information (including rare European sources); and 3) current trends in Huguenot and Walloon scholarship.
Eric Roth possesses fifteen years of experience in archives, historical and fundraising work. He holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from SUNY Albany and worked as Archivist/Librarian and as Executive Director for Historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz, NY.
