As part of the ReelAbilities 2013 Film Festival, we are pleased to present:

Six Points About Emma/Seis puntos sobre Emma, Dir. Roberto Perez Toledo (Spain, 2012, 90 min, Narrative)
Emma is a magnetic, attractive, almost thirty-year old blind woman. Determined to have a baby, she sets out on a search for a man to get her pregnant. Two apparently ideal candidates appear in Emma’s life: Germán, the psychologist she knows from a therapy group she begins to attend, and her young neighbor, Diego. Emma’s objective seems easy enough to achieve, but our heroine will soon fall into a trap of her own devising, and she discovers that blindness comes in lots of different forms.

The screening will be followed by a discussion, to be led by Iris Rosen, LCSW-R, Director of Social Work at SUNY College of Optometry.

The director of the film, Roberto Perez Toledo, will be present and will participate in the discussion as well.

Born in Lanzarote, Mr. Perez Toledo first wondered what it would be like to direct a film after seeing E.T. For the last ten years he has produced and directed short films and garnered many awards and prizes. This is his debut full-length feature film.
