Movie Matinee - Sleeper (1973)

February 27, 2013

Join us for a classic movie every Wednesday morning.

This week's movie is: Sleeper (1973). Woody Allen plays Miles Monroe, who, after entering the hospital for a minor ulcer operation in 1973, wakes up 200 years in the future, understandably confused. As Woody depicts it, the future is a time in which robots do the work for humans, vegetables grow to enormous proportions, and sex has been replaced by a machine called the "Orgasmitron."

Starring Woody Allen and Diane Keaton. MGM/UA. Rated PG. 87 minutes.
