This week's movie is: Surrogates (2009). This sci-fi thriller is set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact vicariously through surrogate robots, who are better-looking versions of themselves. A cop, through his surrogate, investigates the murder of other surrogates but he is forced to venture from his own home for the first time in years to unravel a conspiracy.

Starring Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames. Touchstone Pictures. Rated PG-13. 104 minutes.
