Movies @ Kingsbridge Library - Vertigo

January 5, 2013

Program Locations:

Come watch some classic movies, old favorites, and new releases on the little silver screen.

This month we will be showing Vertigo.

To say Vertigo finds Hitchcock at his most obsessive and his most perverse doesn't even begin to convey how haunting this film is, or how bizarre.  Nor does it convey Hitchcock's passionate style and the way he defies logic working in a much riskier manner than usual.  The film focuses on retired police detective (James Stewart) who must overcome vertigo, and his obsession for a friend's wife (Kim Novak) in this eerie tale of passion.

Starring: James Stewart, Kim Novak

Directed by: Alfred Hitchcock

Film Release: 1958

Running Time: 126 minutes
