Money Matters, Small Business How-to Seminars: Master Class @NYPL presents Jewelry Design and Business

Zorina Hart of the Unusual Jewelz Design Company in connection with the New York Public Library will be offering an intensive 10 week creative arts jewelry design program for 15 adult students. The program will start on September 22^nd, 2012-November 21^st. 2012. This program is designed to build self esteem, build leaders, and create a new sense of worth for the individuals taking part in this experience. The Clason’s Point jewelry design Program will be a place where today's community of people can connect in a positive environment and be able to express themselves through the creative arts.

The 10 week intensive program will provide the following:

Tools to be able to create various designs throughout the term

The opportunity to learn and create beautiful designs that each student could potentially wear, show, and sell

Motivational quotes to empower them throughout the term

Encouragement and a support system in times of need

A field trip to the jewelry district to show them how they can achieve the unimaginable

An opportunity to learn how to photograph their jewelry to create a portfolio to show to others

Learning how to price their designs as well as create a proper résumé to highlight their new skills

Viewing of the esty website to see how others photograph their work to be able to sell it and potentially set up their own websites

Future references for each student as a way to help them obtain entry level or independent work for the present or future

Preparing each student to network with each other in case a student is absent from a class

An opportunity to teach a design style to someone who may be interested in learning
