Chris AngelChris AngelPlease join Gay Men of African Descent (GMAD), the oldest social services organization serving black gay men in New York City, as it celebrates its 25th anniversary at the Schomburg. The exhibition and panel will highlight milestones in GMAD’s history, as well as offer a glimpse of the organization’s activities for a quarter of a century.

Panelists include: Harold Robinson, early Board member, NYC Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene; Bonnie Harrison, friend of GMAD founder Charles Angel; George Bellinger, former Board Chairman; Tokes Osubu, current Executive Director; Joe Pressley, former Executive Director; New School Masters student; Kevin Coleman, former Board Chairman, Podiatrist; Reggie Shuford, former Board member, Exexutive Director of the ACLU of Pennsylvania; Kevin McGruder, former Executive Director, Schomburg Scholar-in-Residence; and Steven G. Fullwood, moderator, and Project Director for the Black Gay & Lesbian Archive at the Schomburg Center.
