Design NYPL 2012

The Design NYPL student group (Juniors at the HS for Fashion Industries) came to LPA for the first research workshop and orientation that will lead to their creating designs for the Anti-Prom 2012.  They researched the theme -- Victorian monsters.  As well as images for live performance and films about monsters, we also showed them visual research, costume renderings and process documents, such as swatch sheets, for Aline Bernstein designs for two productions set at either end of the Victorian Era -- the play Harriet (set in 1850s-1863) and the opera Regina (set in 1890).  The session was videotaped for the website.
