Intro to Yoga Series

Event Details

Designed for individuals with little to no yoga experience.  Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.  In this series we will:

  • Learn the basic elements of standing and sitting yoga poses
  • Explore the ujjayi breath and other breathing techniques to calm the mind and build awareness of the body
  • Practice meditation
  • Discover your body's potential for greater flexibility and strength

 

Additional details:

  • Please wear comfortable clothing
  • Please eat at least 2 hours before class
  • Yoga mat is highly recommended

Pre-registration is required and is limited to 20 participants.  Please call 212-243-4334 or stop by the library's lower level to register.  Registration begins Saturday, February 19!

Attendance at all 4 sessions is important as we will build on each session
